    Which foods do I need to be careful of if I am on medication?
    A: This is a broad question and this answer is by no means comprehensive. The most common food-drug interactions include: grapefruit juice, caffeine, garlic, milk products/calcium, protein-rich foods, high-fat meals, fiber...
    I am scheduled to have a tonsillectomy and I am taking herbal supplements. Do I have to stop them?
    A: Absolutely stop them at least two weeks prior to the surgery. Some common herbs associated with increased bleeding risk include garlic oil, clove, ginseng, ginkgo biloba and ginger-just to name a few.
